Good Day. When I generate reports for my records some reports show up and a few do not. The headings are there but no information. Any ideas

Hi,
This may not be the problem you are having, but it is worth exploring. If you are basing your report on a query, it is possible that the "join" characteristics are not correct. For instance, you may have two tables in a database, one for departments (e.g., "Accounting") and another table of employees that contains the department code. You can set up the query to get all records from departments and employees where they match. On the other hand, you can get the query to give you all employee records, regardless of whether they have a valid department code or not. Thirdly, you can set up your query to give you all departments, but only those employee records that match on the department code field. To check the "join" properties, right click on the line connecting the two tables together. You will see the "Join Properties" option.

So, the best way to debug this is to run the query from inside the query tool, and see if you are getting the records you are expecting. If you don't get the records you are expecting, then take a look at the join properties as explained above.

If this doesn't solve the problem, then please post a reply with a bit more detail. In general, whenever a report is empty, it generally means that it could not find any data. HTH,
