Okay, can someone please explain to me again what our $40,000 per year enhancements pay for? Of the known reports that will not upgrade to version 9, I have to redo 15 graphical reports!!! 15!!

We pay so much for upgrades and each year have to re-modify all of our reports. Why won't reports upgrade? Need lots of improvements here Microsoft!

You are paying for the continued development of the application. For the service packs, hotfixes and for upgrades to new versions.

Sometimes adding the functionality that the customers request requires changes to the tables used to generate reports. When this happens a report cannot be easily upgraded as the original report in the old version is technically nothing like the original report in the new version.

Wow only 15? I think we had over 100 but the funny thing is, most of them weren't even modified from the original version, so luckily we only had to re-insert it or remove security to the modified version.

We just upgraded a customer with a lot (probably around 50) of modified reports from GP 8.0 to GP 9.0. A number of reports SAID they had problems updating, but in reality updated just fine. Only 1 report truly didn't upgrade and it turned out that the customer wasn't using it anyway. I guess my point it - try them first...are they really not working after the upgrade?
