I have code that opens reports and prints them to pdf files. The problem is that after the first two reports, all following ones cause Access to use 100% of the cpu, take up about 240-270MB of pf and cause the task manager to show Access is not responding. But if I wait 5-10 mins, it comes back to life and continues. I have tested the underlying queries and found that they can be opened in 15-20 seconds. I do not understand this behavior. Is there some thing that makes Access slow down when running a bunch of reports in succession? Is there a cure? Thanks for any suggestions, Ken

Do you have Page of Pages in your reports? Are there subreports or other controls that can grow?

I don't use the Page of pages. My first page is all one piece, the second page has a two subreports that swap out depending on a boolean field value, then another sub report that is the main body of the second page. Below that is a smal section on the main report followed by another subreport that is sometimes visible, depending on another boolean field. Below that is another sub report that is a detail version of the main report, which also has several sub reports. It's the only way I could get everything to come together in one end result.
