I have installed iAS 9.0.4 (we had aplications for 9.0.4, not 10g Rel. 2.). If there is error in report (in applicaton) or database is unresponsive reports server hangs, it is impossible to run new reports that comunicate with database, but it is possible to run simple report like test demo from Oracle that doesn't use database.
It seems that unfinished reports remains in queue and blocks all new requests. I need to restart reports server or even to reboot operating system and start iAS again.
I have tried with various numbers of reports engines, additional timeouts etc. but couldn't solve problem. I have also tried to install reports server as service instead of in-process but problem remains. For now i restart reports service every 10 minutes (restart takes 9-10 s) to prevent longer unavailability, but this can be only temporary solution. iAS is 9.0.4, no additional patches. I would like to skip patches as there are metalink notes how to correct various problems that can appear after patching iAS. It is instalation with infrastructure and mid tier. Can't move to 10g Rel 2. becausef customer requirements.
Any suggestions?
