Reports Schedule only works when I am logged in to Windows

I have a BOE v11, running Crystal XI on an Oracle database. My Crystal application is on my desktop, and I save my reports into BOE using Enterprise from "save as" or uploading into BOE from within iexplorer.

I have set a load of reports to schedule daily, for instance 7am, hoping they would be ready for our users when they get into the office. However, they do not run until I actually login to Windows. If I login at say 9am, my reports appear to run about 9.10am !

I have a lot of reports scheduled for 7am, should I choose different times for each one? Does that make a difference?

Our Crystal Server is on a virtual server, which I do not log into through Windows, I only log in via BOE. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

This doesn't make sense.

When a report is published to BOE, it is owned by the user who logged into BOE when it was published. Likewise, the schedule (pending) instance is owned by the user who created the schedule.

However, when a schedule's time comes up, the report should be opened and processed by the Crystal Reports Job Server service, which runs under a Windows service account. This is either the Local System Account or a specific Service Account setup to run the BOE Services.

The Crystal Reports Job Server service should run independently of your Windows login. There's got to be another explanation.

Scheduling reports at the same time is no problem as the Job Server (in its default setting) will process 5 simultaneous reports and queue any additional reports it needs to process.

Try scheduling one of the sample reports (World Sales Report) at a certain time overnight and see if that works.(admittedly they use an access database)

Thanks for your reply, Ive set a schedule for 7am on a report that I am using as a test, however, it never runs, and when I log into the CMS, and look at the Instance Properties, it shows next Run Time as the time I click "Schedule" not the time I have specified it to run?

Recurrence Type: Every day
Next Run Time: 10/3/07 2:50:31 PM
Server Group: Can be scheduled to any server group

I must be doing something wrong, grateful for your help.

Thanks
