Can the default file format when importing a report be changed from Crystal to MS Excel?

or let me correct myself...

Can a user when setting up a report change it from Crystal to MS Excel?

The default report templates are in crystal file format. You can use any ODBC report tool to extract data from the database. But, if you want to import a report template so you can run and schedule it from the Symposium or CCM historical reporting interface, it must be in the Crystal format in a version that is compatible with your version of Symposium or CCM.

When a user shedules a standard report to run from web client, they can choose the output format from a dropdown list which includes Excel.

The user wants to bypass that drop down box so that he doesn't have to waste 3 seconds of his time selecting the option he wants.

3 seconds is such a long time isn't it....don't you just love users like this. Did I say user, I meant loser!

He can be a pain in the ass with requests like that, I wonder if stays awake at night thinking of this stuff
