Reports not opening

I have an access mde that opens a report for printing. On one PC it is not opening the report. The message box comes up saying that the report is about to be opened, and the form remains on the screen but the report does not open at all, not even hidden behind the form (the report is set as pop-up, modal)

Any ideas?
 
Does the other PC have a default printer defined? Was the report saved with a specific printer set?

It does have a default printer, and no, the report wasn't saved with a specific printer set.

There are two other PC's connecting to the same printer and they don't have this trouble, although it does look like a printer-type issue...
 
My experience (and others) have been that this is caused by a printer issue. I would try set a known connected printer as the default and then try run the report.

i've seen the same thing being a printer issue.
it's been a while since i had this problem, but i think doing the following (or something like it) will fix it.

example: my buddy joe sends me an mdb.

i open it and try to print but it won't, like yours didn't.

i created a "generic dummy printer" on my computer. Then open each report, right-click on it to open page setup, select a the dummy printer, then save the report, select the correct printer, and save the report and close.
