I have a few reports running on a Windows 2000 Server machine.

My reports used to export without any problem but now when I to export I get the following error

Error in File
------------------
C:\Inetpub\ Access to report file denied. Another program may be using it.
------------------

Does anyone know why it is doing this now? I have no idea what I could have changed to create this problem.

Thanks,
Gavin

Sounds like it's either a corrupt file, in use (as the error suggests) or perhaps there's a user permission or file attribute problem.

Aha it was permissions on the directory :)

Thanks,
Gavin

I have the same problem with my report in an ASP.NET page. What permissions did you have to change to fix the problem?

Thanks.

Right click the directory or file and select Properties->Security (depending upon your OS).

I have tried to set many permission on both the file and the folder and I still get the same result. Could you please be more specific with what file or folder needs what permission.

I suspect my problem is different since I am using ASP.NET. I have tried giving the aspnet user full rights and that didn't help.

Thanks
