Hi,
My customer has a request to run the reports in 2 languages. To be more specific: he wants the result of the report to be in 2 languages, and not the data provider.
Before running such a report, i would like to prompt the user to choose a language in which the report should be shown. I am working with ORACLE DB.

An understandable request but IMHO not a really realistic one. Prompts are meant to create interactive conditions within the SQL that is generated.
A much simpler approach would be to two use non-linked DP's and display the results on two report-tabs. Depending on language one can then change between tabs.
You would not need any prompts for that matter then.....
