Reports help

I need to change the database attached to a report but When I change it like
reports("test1&quot.recordsource=me.combo33.text

I get you can not set record source property after printing has started. (I did not start a print)

What event are you using to set the record source of the report? What is the text that is in Combo33?

Well I have it in a combo drop down set to update on change. Sorry I'm new to Access and its driving me nuts.

Ok, put the code in the OnOpen event of the report itself, you can't change it because the report isn't open yet.

Me.RecordSource = [Forms]![MyFormName]![Combo33].Text

Oops the report was open sorry. But if the report is closed i get this error 2451 the report name is misspelled or refers to a report that is not open or does not exist. Can a change the data when a report is closed????
