Reports Error

Hello,

I have Nortel Networks System Management Interface for Symposium Call Center Server Version 4.00 Build 4.01.07 installed on a Windows 98 Client and everything works but reports...when I try and run any report I get this message:

"There was an error while trying to print report !Failed to access information from report file."

Ideas?

make sure your client is upgraded with the latest service update - NS040107SU10C. it includes fixes for several reports problems. i don't know if it specifically addresses the problem you're having, but it's certainly worth a shot. we run the NS040107SU10C update on all our 4.x client PCs - 2K, XP, and NT without a problem. we don't have any 98 PCs though.

i can send you the patch if you want it. it's about 10mb. otherwise, you'll need to go through your vendor to get it most likely. i don't believe regular customers can download the patches directly. i know we can't. we always have to get it through our vendor.

Did you recieve a sybase error when you are installing to that PC. We had that same problem because the user had another Program that utilized sybase. Once we remove that program we were able to generate reports
