Hi,

I have a problem with one of my ReportNet users. I've cut off write access to the Public folders so users can only save their reports to their own folders, but for one of my users, when they log into the Cognos Connection portal, they only have 2 tabs, the "Welcome" tab, and the "Public Folders" tab.

First things first, How do I get the user's folder back, and secondly, how on earth did it go missing in the first place? I've taken a look at my settings (i have admin rights) and I can't even find a way to remove my own folder!

Any ideas?
J

In addition to my above post, I have a feeling the user has gone and and removed their permissions for their own folder.

I still need to figure out how to get it back though!

You can't remove the folder, so it is definitely a permission thing. The only way is via the SDK as even administrators cannot see other users ' My Folders'.

OK, thankyou. In the meantime, what permissions do I need to change to stop other users doing the same thing???!!!

You can't really control this as it's the users' choice as to whether or not they want the tab or not. You may be able to control this viua the SDK, but not via Cognos Connection.
