ReportNet output in excel taking long time to run.

I have made a reportnet report and output is selected as excel. This report is taking long time to give output. For a result of 200 records it takes about 4-5 minutes to give output. At database level the same report query runs in about 14 seconds.

Can anyone tell me how to improve run time performance and bring down time to few seconds.

Hi,

You mention it is excel, have you tried a.n. other format to see if this is excel related? Is it just this one query?

Where is the content manager installed and also the content store?
It may be that the resources are not available to do the processing - are they all on the same database server? Can you run the query and monitor the server that has the content manager on it?

Is the SQL the same in ReportNet as on the database? Perhaps there is a better way to do the query in ReportNet to give you better performance...

Could be lots of things, hope some of this is of some use...
