Hi,

In Report Studio, I am trying to create a report that will run off 2 seperate queries.

I have the data extracted in Query 1, and another set of data extracted in Query 2, and I want to create a third query (Query 3) that does a calculation based on Query 1 and Query 2.

They are all crosstab reports if that makes a difference.

Anyone have any feedback?

Thanks in advance.

Hello -

Have you tried creating the results using SQL. I'm not sure what type of database you are using. Maybe doing joins or subqueries in one query.

Before I create any reports, I retrieve the data using SQL.

Then I create a new query subject in Framework Manager and copy the SQL into it. I might name the new query “Combined_3_queries” in Framework Manager.

Then I publish the package.

When I open Report Studio, the query “Combined_3_queries” is there and I can create my report.

I don’t even open up Framework Manager or use Report Studio until I retrieve the data I want using a SQL statement within my database.
