Reportnet configuration with MS SQL Server on LOCALHOST

Hi,
Can anyone help me configure my sql sever(localhost)with reportnet. I have tried everything. The same configuration works on my PC but not on my laptop. The configuration works fine with an Oracle database.
Am i missing something somwhere???

What errors are in the crnserverlog file? More than likely, SQL Server isn't running on the default 1433 port and/or the db is case sensitive. Check the collation sequence and make sure that it is CI.

If this doesn't help check the log file and post again.

The collation sequence selected when I create the database is system_default.
This is the error:
CM-CFG-5063 A Content Manager configuration error was detected while connecting to the content store.
CM-SYS-5003 Content Manager is unable to access the content store database. Verify your database connection parameters and then contact your database administrator.

Looks like you are missing the username and password. By default sa/sa is put in so you'll have to change it, unless that is you username and password.

No, when I installed SQL SERVER I gave "sqlserver" as the password for sa user ID. I am using that. I will try sa/sa too.

Got it!!!

I recently installed the Windows XP SP2. The new firewall settings was not allowing the connection. I had to upgrade my SQL SERVER to service pack to 3a and had to add exceptions in the windows firewall settings.
