When an ordinary user (Browser) subscribes to a report for delivery by email the email address of the user defaults to the windows account name and not the full email address of the user.

Trouble is the user can't change what is selected (more privileged users can) and we are using Lotus notes email server which will only accept emails to a full email address eg "name@company.com" and not "username"

Is there any way to have the full email address of the user enter be default (as defined in AD)

Thanks

SQL Server 2005 + Report Services
Windows 2003 Svr + AD

Sorry did a bit more searching else where and found this solution.

"As RS is using SMTP and not exchange there is no simple way for this field to be auto populated.
From articles i've found on the web it appears you can get your Developers to knock something up that talks to the API.
And apparently if you're using Active Directory things get a bit easier (we're not.. yet).
The simplest solution I found was just to allow the field to be edited by the user and to do this just edit the RSReportServer.config file and the parameter

<SendEmailToUserAlias>True</ SendEmailToUserAlias>

Just make it False instead of true.
"

The result is that the To field is not populated and any type of user can enter the destination email address.

Thanks again
