All,
I'm getting an error "The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized" when I try to run any reports under Reporting Services 2005, even if I'm signed in as the admin. Hoping that someone knows what I'm missing.
Here's some background...
We had outside consultants create the reports and set up Reporting Services for us a couple years ago. They had all the reports running with the anonymous user account (the reports still run fine if I have them running with anonymous access). I need to change the setup to use Windows Authentication, otherwise I can't sign in as the admin to make any changes or create new reports.
I've been able to change the IIS settings to use Integrated Windows Authentication. This prompts me to sign in. If I sign in as the admin, I can change roles, assign roles, etc. If I sign in as the general user (I assigned the Browse role to them), they can only see the folders, reports. I can click on all the other links with no problems. It's only when I click on the actual reports that I get the "Not Authorized" error.
There must be a security setting I need to change, either in Reporting Services, IIS, or the Report Server. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Todd
