I am currently trying to work with a sys admin to get Reporting Services 2005 on Win2003 Server 64bit. I have access to 2 dedicated machines in our production environment (web server/sql server). Is IIS required on the actual SQL Server box? My understanding was that this was only necessary if the database and application were running on the same box, and that there was an option to run the application portion from the web server (which already has IIS running). Installing IIS on the SQL Server box itself is causing concerns with security certification agreements that we already have in place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
