Hello,
I am using a Lotus Notes view.
Using Crystal version 10
My Lotus Notes admin created a view called Case_v for me to do reports off of. We then decided that another column needed to be added to this view, but since the Case_v was being used in other reports, it would be easier to create a new view specifically for this report. So, he copied Case_V and created Case_Monthly_v.
In Crystal, I pointed the report to the new view. The Map fields dialog box appeared and I needed to map the date fields. This meant that the date fields had changed from the Case_V (DATE data type) to the Case_MOnthly_V (STRING data type).
What I am curious to know is: Is it the Lotus Notes view that is changing the field data type or Crystal? In Lotus Notes, he is telling me that the property of that field is a DATE type. I just can't understand what Crystal is doing to it (it's only a copy of the original and the original had DATE type)?
Thanks
