I have been asked to come up with a report, for the executive team, that shows all the projects currently being worked on by project managers and the resources they are using (development, operations, etc..)

I started to do a gantt chart and put in all the projects, but it doesn't really show anything besides the duration and one resource ( i know u can put more in, but it doesn't illustrate what I want).

In the end, i want the management team to see, that if they want to get a project done, they have to fit it in, between all these other projects and all the resources that we have available.

Does anyone have any ideas of how i might do this?

Thanks in advance for any ideas :)

Although the question posed is slightly different from your question, the solution approach is the same so, if you are using MSProject then see my Tek-Tips answer here
