I need to produce a dataset that give me a list of ALL activities undertaken by customers when they triggered a certain type of activity (return activity) that occurs between 01/07/2010 and 10/10/2010.

The majority of activites all foloow on from the previous activity i.e when one activity ends, the next activity usually starts on the day after it.

Any ideas how I can go about that?

many thanks in advance for your assistance.

You'll need to have two copies of the table with the activities included in your report. When you try to add a second copy of a table, Crystal will let you know that the table is already there and, if you choose to continue, it will automatically add "_1" to the end of the table name. So, for the purposes of this example, I'm going to call this Activity and Activity_1.

1. Link from Activity to Activity_1 based on Customer.

2. In your selection critera, put something like this:
{Activity.Activity_Type} = "return" and
{Activity.Date} in Date(2010, 01, 07) to (2010, 10, 10) and
{Activity_1.Date} >= {Activity.Date}

3. Group by Customer.

4. Put the relevant fields from the Activity_1 table in the details of the report.
