I need a cash flow type report from my Bank accounts.

The current transaction listing report from GL just lists the transactions and does not even list the accounts it is posted into so I cannot summarise.

For eg. if I take a transaction report of my bank account, is there a way to print the GL accounts for each of those transactions ? I can then use excel to summarise by each account

Try the GL Source Journal report, you need to define a Source Journal Profile (GL Setup, Source Journal Profiles) for transactions that will hit your bank account (AP-CK, AP-PY, etc).
