Report Writer that connects directly to Informix

Does anyone know if there is a report writer that will connect to an Informix 9.x server directly NOT using ODBC connections. Previously we used Infomaker but it isn't compatible with AIX 5.1. I get terrible performance when I connect using ODBC connections. Using ODBC connections it takes about 5-10 minutes just to open a table to see the fields it contains. Everytime you use a drop down to select data for a criteria you have to wait another 5-10 minutes for it to show you the drop down list. Is anyone successfully using a report writer using ODBC or connecting directly to Informix. I had no problelms with Infomaker, but this connected directly to infromix.

we are using crystal reports with informix, but i must say that connecting via odbc works better for us than using the native connect (which is supported by crystal).

On the other hand i do not understand why you have so heavy problems with your odbc-connections. Did you try to link an informix-table to MS-Access via odbc?
