please tell why when i use the FOR clause and i want to preview the report, this just like that disapears imediatly!

REPORT FROM (thisform.creport) for x = y PREVIEW NOCONSOLE

and when i use

REPORT FROM (thisform.creport) PREVIEW NOCONSOLE

the preview is working perfect?

Where is the problem ? Simplequestion but whit no answer for the moment!

Thanks for your help!!!

I believe the FOR clause only works for printing a report not previewing. Filter your data prior to previewing instead.

Report FOR does work in preview mode - many of my own reports do so. In all probability the x = y condition does fetch any record. Please check the condition once again.

You may also want to make sure that your X and Y variables are public ones.
