In Access 2000, I have a report that contains a sub report. The subreport is not related to the main report.

If I run the main report, with the sub report's visible property set to No, the report opens quickly. If I open the sub report by itself, it also opens quickly.

However if I run the main report, with the sub report's visible property set to Yes, the report opens very slowly.

Any ideas on how to speed it up?

Do you display Page of Pages anywhere on the main report? If so, try remove it.

This does not help

The main report has a Group Header / Footer. The sub report is on the Group Footer. What I have noticed is that if the sub report only has a few records, there is not problem. If the sub report contains many records, I have the problem.

The Group Footer's "Force New Page" is set = After Section

The main report is for a Drivers delivery schedule, with the Group for each Delivery Driver The sub report is for all unpaid invoices. I want to force a new page for each delivery driver, with the sub report showing on all delivery drivers.
Hope this makes sense!

To trouble-shoot I would begin removing stuff. Once the report began running faster, I would know what caused the slowness. If you can't live without the "stuff" you had just removed, try to find an alternative or live with the slowness.
