Report will not use odbc

I am running CE 8.0 as a report server. The machine is running Windows 2000 with an ODBC set up to connect to DB2 database on an AS/400. The problem is that the report will only try to run locally, it will not connect to the database. The APS starts, and event viewer says its ready to go. Does anybody know why it will not use the ODBC? The datasource names match in the report and the ODBC also. Thanks.

Make sure you are using a SYSTEM DSN, and not a local DSN. The Report Service behind the scene is running using a different account, so may have a different ODBC list. Editor and Publisher of Crystal Clear

Does it prompt for a login? You didn't that it was prompting, so I assume that it is not, which is a baaaad thing.

When you brought the report into CE 8, did you set the database properties for the report?

Thanks you guys. It was the odbc default userid that was not set correctly.
