Hi

I am running a published Impromptu report which is coming in 2 pages (1 page coming in 2 pages, i mean last 3-4 columns are pushing to second page). In the impromptu client it comes perfectly. the page setup i change to landscape.

can anyone please tell me how to make all columns display in one page either in landscape mode (when output is PDF and display all columns when output is Excel or HTML).

regards,
sudhi

hi

does anyone knows how to fix this.

Sudhi,

W.r.t. PDF, if you use a non-standard page size in Impromptu that is large enough to include your columns, then saving as PDF will keep the layout to include all columns on one page. The Page Scaling feature in Acrobat printing should ensure that printed output will conform to the page size of the printer. (Whether you can read it will depend on the printer's resolution).

W.r.t. Excel, this appears to be a limitation of the way in which Impromptu renders the data to an excel format. The only way around it I can find is to manually use the page setup>page tab>scaling to ensure the report is printed one page wide.

There are always some changes when rendering impromptu reports as PDF, there is no magic button to press or option to select to say show everything on 1 page. This all comes down to how the report is formatted, fonts used etc.

When you save as PDF from within Impromptu do you get the same results as publishing to IWR ?

If so i would look to redesigning your report, reduce the size of your columns and font size if required.

I find that True Type fonts Arial or Tahoma convert well to PDF.
