Hi,

I have CR8 and IIS and Crystal Web Component Server were set up. I am having problems when I save a report from my workstation and then save it on the server to be viewed from the web.
If I view a report I generated from my computer, I get a pop up window asking for a user id and password in an infinite loop.
If I view a report that's refreshed and saved from the server itself, then I can view the report w/o problems from the web.
I'm using ODBC settings with the same name on my workstation and server.
Can anybody shed any light on this? David Lee

Is it really an infinite loop, or are there any subreports in the report. You're probably getting promted for each subreport.

I have anywhere from 1 to 3 subreports, depending on the report. And I know it's not a subreport problem b/c the infinite loop only happens when I save the crystal report on my workstation and then copy on to the server.
If I log on to the server and refresh and save from the server itself, this problem does not occur.
I don't change anything on the report. I only refresh and save with an 'sa' password.
Is this a permissions issue? Or is this an odbc issue? David Lee

i get this exact same problem too,let me know if u manage to fix it please !

cheers

I had the same issue between two servers, I noticed the driver version was different from the one that worked on the other server, make sure that both ODBC entries are using the same driver and version.

cheers,
