Report Viewer Version to Print Local 2008 Reports on 64 Bit With .Net 4.5.1

I have a VB.net 2008 app that uses local reports displayed in the report viewer. When I run this on 64 bit machines that have .Net 4.5.1 installed and I try and print the report it says that I need .Net 3.5 installed. On the computers where I have installed 3.5 I am able to install the 2008 report viewer and print the reports. My question is can I install a later version of the report viewer that is compatible with 4.5.1 and the 2008 reports that will still allow the display and printing of the reports? Internet searches have yielded lots of information but none directly answering this question.
