Recently upgraded from a CR9, CE10, Win2000 env to a CR10, CE10, Win2003 env, and any of our reports running via Easysoft ODBC (sector, sectorpi) runs in CR but not CE. When I say it does not run in CE, I mean a report that usually takes 20 secs to run using report designer, runs for in excess if 5 hours in CE (it does not complete, I have to cancell the run).

Anyone ever seen anything similar?

Hi,
Is the DSN set up on the CE server exactly like the one that CR uses?

Is that driver installed correctly ( can you do a test connection from the ODBC admin screen)?

Positive in both cases. All tests using Report Designer done on the same machine as which CE is installed.
Did a ODBC test - result positive.

Hi,
What account are the Crystal Enterprise servers running under( especially Page and ReportJob)..They shoud be using an account that has rights to the database location and the ODBC drivers ( the DSN must be a System one)..

When you run the Designer you are, I assume, logged into the CE server, so it uses the rights of that user account ..use the same one for the services and see if that helps..
