I wrote a report that has a report variable asking the user to select from a long list what type of selection criteria data they want to see such as:
01 - Show me any employee that is missing a Birthdate
02 - Show me any employee that is claiming Fed Tax EXEMPT
03 - Show me any employee that has 401K coming out
...
20 - Show me any employee whose state tax isn't their home state
...etc.

Is there a way that a macro can be written to re-bring up the Report Variable question box allowing the user to enter an different value instead of the user selecting from the menu Tools > Report Variables... and changing the Value... manually?

You can modify your report in a macro. If you set the Report Variable value to null and rerun the report I think the Report Variable form will come back up.

You may also beable to send key strokes from a macro to get it come back up.

You will need a copys of the macro books to get this to work.

One thing to look out for is macros are VERY hard to debug in ReportSmith and don't always work the way the doc says it does.
