Hi all - i have a report that is used in a distributed application. On one machine running Win2k and access 2k, the title and subtitle in my page header are cut off. This is currently the only user who's reported this happening, and both text boxes are actually at the left edge of the page. The text at the right edge is fine! I totally can't figure out what's the problem here. Could it be something in her print settings or in her system setup with the font sizes? Where do I look for that? I know her desktop has larger fonts than what I'm used to seeing but don't know how that was set up. Anyway, hoping someone here has seen this type of anomaly before and can help me out. Thanks and have a good weekend!

Open her printer properties and take a look at the printable area property. Most printers will let you get to within .2" from the edge of the page.

Hope this helps.

Hi again - well, it was the printer. We switched printers and that fixed the problem, although she still can't print it on the printer in question, she can at least print it. The problem printer is a Canon Image Runner 5070.

Tom, just to be more clear on what's happening, the truncation isn't happening on the edge of the page. It's happening in the middle of the page, which is at the right edge of a label that holds the title of the report. Very wierd huh? Thanks for your reply though!

I see...could be just a driver issue with the installed printer, but I'm not sure how this is handled in a networked environment. My imagination tells me that the drivers are installed on the server and clients access the printer as a service provided by the networked server, so it shouldn't make a difference. If her profile is badly corrupted, though, you may expect to see other strange behavior with this user over the next serveral weeks.
