I was developing a report in Access 2000 (with SQL 2000 back end). Tested the report and it ran slowly, but was OK, but needed more work. I went back in and tried to change the name of a control and it froze. Had to close Access (through task manager) as a result. Tried to get the report various ways (including importing into a new database), but the report itself was not usable.
Tried starting again (with a copy of the Access db before I added the new report) and had the same problem occur.
I had seen this happen a fairly long time ago, but haven't seen it happen for at least a year or more.
The Access database is on a Novell server. Access is being run frrom my computer.
Has anyone had this problem or something similar, and does someone have any suggestions for the causes and the solutions?
Thanks,
Bob
