In previous versions of Progression, prior to 7.6.200 you could hit the space bar and print non-posting reports to screen. That was actually a bug in the code and was fixed in 7.6.200. Not all bugs are bad. When the bug was fixed many if not all of the users wanted that back. Well the bug is still fixed but Exact has listened to your requests and has added that ‘undocumented feature’ back as an option.

It is workstation specific and to get this function you need to be on version 7.6.400 SPA. If you are you can edit the file named macola7.ini. It will be located in on your local machine in the c:\windows directory, just add the following line: “Print-Rpt-To-Screen=Yes”

If the only tool you can use is a hammer then all your problems look like nails.

What is misleading is that this is simply a default, not an allow/disallow entry. If you make the entry 'Print-Rpt-To-Screen=No', it STILL allows you to print the report to screen, you just have to manually select the screen radio button.

Still this is handy because you don't have to do that anymore.

IMO, the line in the ini file should be called 'Default-Print-To-Screen='
