Hi All,

I need to put footer on the report – 10 pre-calculated fields as summary to the report.
So it has to be only at the end of the report (fixed to the bottom) and if it’s enough space for 10 fields. If to put those fields in the ‘Summary’ group – how can I fix them to the bottom of the page? Footer calculated separately from the report and should be shown as one peace.

Can anyone help please?

Pete

Make a report variable that will calculate your summary. In the page footer place control that will show that variable. Than go to properties of that control. Press button 'Print When'. In the bottom field type expression 'eof()'. So this field will be printed only when eof() - that means end of report and last page. Thanks ... but it would not work for me.
Footer always reserves space , so I'll have big empty gap
on all pages but on the last.The idea with eof() is good --
I am using RECNO()=RECCOUNT().

Any other ideas ?

Pete

I don't think that this gap is so large, unless your summary is large. In addition, you may try to set bottom margin to 0 and make it as little as possible, so it will take little space. I see no other ways, instead of expandable Memo field with several lines to fill rest of last page, that is quite problematic to calculate exactly. I need to put footer on the report

From the Report Menu, Select <Title/Summary>. Check the option labeled <Summary Band>. Click <OK>. And you've got a report footer. [sig]<p>Jon Hawkins<br><a href=mailto: jonscott8@yahoo.com> jonscott8@yahoo.com</a><br><a href= > </a><br>Focus on the solution....Not the problem.[/sig]

Jon, the problem was not in the summary itself, but that Summary band shown after last line of report, not at the bottom of the page. [sig]<p>Vlad Grynchyshyn<br><a href=mailto:vgryn@softserve.lviv.ua>vgryn@softserve.lviv.ua</a><br>[/sig]

OK. My apologies, I read the post too quickly.

Using Vlad's original suggestion, on the Print When form, also select <Remove line if blank>. Theoretically, if it suppresses printing the variable because NOT EOF(), it should additionally suppress the blank line. Theoretically.

Good luck. [sig]<p>Jon Hawkins<br><a href=mailto: jonscott8@yahoo.com> jonscott8@yahoo.com</a><br><a href= > </a><br>Focus on the solution....Not the problem.[/sig]
