I have problem with totaling subtotal in a report.

My Total Resources data is generated from a query.

The Area Total is the sum of Total Resources per Area. There are 5 area in the report.

Now, If I want to subtotal the Area Total, I always get the input form, Area Total.

What should I do?

I don't quite understand your question, but there's a trick to getting running sums in a report.

Say you have a field in each record reported, and you want to put a sum (total or subtotal) in the report's footer.

You need an extra field. Say your field is called ProdCount. Add another field under it - invisible - called ProdCountRunningSum (or something like that).

Set the ProdCountRunningSum's RunningSum property to "Yes"

Then in the reports footer, add yet another field and maybe call it, DisplayProdCountRunningSum.

Set its control source to:

= ProdCountRunningSum

Yes, I know this is stupid. But its the way its "supposed" to work in Access Reports. And I hope I've been clearer than Access Help is, because Help is difficult to deciper on this topic.
