I have an access 2000 database that I track Servers with what patches, hotfixes, service packs are installed. I want to be able to sort the reports by Servername and another report by Patch #. The fields I have are:

ID
Server Name
Component Impacted
Patch
Patch Description
Date
Security Level

I have no idea on how to create the formulas to do this. I can use the wizards, but that is about as far as my access knowledge is. I want to be able to create reports by server name and reports by patch #.

Any help would be appreciated..

click on reports then create a report with the wizzard. add all the fields you want to use then eventually you will get the option to order by... fill that in and hey presto!

I think that should work for what you want it to do...

I would go into detial, butI've not got the time, sorry!

Yes that will work, but we want to be able to create only reports for say each server if asked. Most the time we get request to run a report for a specific server or a specific patch to find all servers that one patch is installed on.
