If I could get away from using ADP's report smith, would anyone have any suggestions on what software I could use? Great Plains? Crystal reports? If you were trying to do this what would you go to?

As a personal preference and past experience with PeopleSoft, I would go with Crystal.

ReportSmith is quite capable of handle most needs, but Crystal seems to be more flexible in report formatting.

My 2 cents.
