Do we have to install a printer driver and or set a default printer for a report to appear nicely in the info view. I am getting elongated reports while viewing it in info view. (i've tried all the viewers AvticeX, DHtml and all)
Thanks.

Hi,
Crystal's viewers base the layout of a page on what printer is the default on the server running InfoView.

Note: The printer does NOT have to actually exist, just the driver needs to be installed and set to Print to File instead of a Port - all 'actual' printing is client-side..

Check all your field size in the RPT file and how close they are to the margins.

We had an issue when we moved some of our reports from CE-10 to BOE-XI.

There was one-field that was just over the margin. In CE-10 it trimmed the field and kept it formatted on a landscape-letter page. In XI that same field caused the formatting to grow to a DOUBLE-WIDTH landscape-letter page.

The only fix was to change the margins and the field size/position in the source RPT file.

Hope this helps.

Yep it was printer issue, i just unchecked the option (get page setting from printer) or something like that.. from File>PageSetup.
thanks both of ya.
