report "open record only"

Im a complete newbie to Access
Hopefully there is a simple answer to this problem I want to be able to send the active record via email I have seen the email report function but it sends all the records is there a way to limit it to just the open record?

You have to put some criteria into your report which somehow selects just the record you want.

When you say "....to just the open record" do you mean you are looking at a table? a query? a form?

I would like to be able to send the form details via e-mail but I assume that it would have to be saved first.

It is not necessary to have saved your records separate. You can send one record or all..
There are many posts discussing send email from Access... have an advanced search in these forums..
