Hi All,

I have this weird problem. I have a reportset with about 10 imr reports and there are couple of smarthotfiles too. When I tried publishing this report set to upfront, I get the error 'Publish Failed'. But I could see 9 reports out of 10 published on upfront. I tried publishing another reportset which has 15 reports including smart hotfiles but again 14 out of 15 gets published. This is the issue when I have smarthotfiles in the reportset. I use Impromptu version 7.1 and recently we had updated the new maintenance patch too but nothing works. Please advice. Thanks in advance

Firstly what are smarthotfiles ?

If you actually mean hotfiles, are you publishing the actual ims files or the imr files that create the hotfiles ?

don't forget a reportset can only contain reports from one catalog, do all of your reports come from the same catalog ?

Gary,
Thank you for your response. Smarthotfiles are the imr reports that I use as a datasource in another imr report and all of these reports use a single catalog and it is located in the same folder along with the other reports.
How do I solve this issue? Please advice.
Thanks

Swathi,

Did u try to publish the missing report Separately?

I tried publishing the missing report seperately and it works. But I cant publish the whole reportset.
Please advice.

Thanks Swathi

"imr reports that I use as a datasource in another imr report and all of these reports use a single catalog" means

say u created a report R1 using a catalog and added that report to the same catalog's datasource to build the other reports???

sudhi

Sudhi,

Yes, That is correct. Please advice.

Thanks

You may have overlooked this: Are the catalogs different in anyway - ie the catalog in the reportset and the one that Impromptu is pointing to. Even though they may be the same catalog, they have different sizes (one is updated, the other is not).
Hope this helps--
