Is there a way to embed database credentials into a report?
My report always prompts for a password when it's first opened, I don't want this to happen.
The other information (database server, database name, username, etc) are populated already. The connection is using the 'Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server' and has the following 'Advanced Information' (some values are blank):
Locale Identifier: 2057
Connect Timeout: 15
General Timeout: 0
OLE DB Services: -5
Current Language:
Auto Translate: -1
Initial File Name:
Use Encryption for Data: 0
Replication server name connect option:
Tag with column collation when possible: 0
Note that this is just a .rpt file which connects to a SQL 2005 database server. My report data comes from a SQL query to this database and there are two custom parameters (both datetime) that are passed into the SQL query. I don't think we have the Crystal Enterprise server or Business Objects or anything like that. There are many other reports in my company, all of which work without further prompts but none of which use this particular database.
Please help! If any more information is required please let me know.
