Report projects by action dates

I have a report that I need to print a list of projects and their associated "action dates"

Report is generated from 2 tables 1.) projects, 2. )Project Actions

Need report to print in the following sort order:
1.) Project Type (Field of Project table)
2.) by action date. (listing the next upcoming first of all actions associated with each project)

Example:
1 - Action A
Project 2 Mar 1, 2002 - Proj Action 1
Project 3 Mar 6, 2002 - Project Action 1
Apr 5, 2002 - Project Action 2
Project 1 Mar 31, 2002 - Project Action 1

2 - Action B

Trouble I am having.
Can not get to sort by date and list all dates in same spot

I can sort by project name and list all action dates but that is not what I want.

Any Help?? Please!!!
