Hello
I have some reports which were set up in Landscape mode. The first time they are previewed/printed they print correctly in Landscape, after that they switch to Portrait, without any intervention.
Does anyone know if this a known bug or is there a work-around to it? There is nothing out of the ordinary about the report layout or contents.
Thanks in advance
Sarah.

This is a well-known bug in Access 2000. Either apply the latest service packs or select Tools|Options and uncheck all the Name AutoCorrect boxes.

Hello. I am not a programmer, but i had similar problem a while back and someone had posted a work around. i copied it and here it is - i apologize if i cannot remember who posted the answer, but it worked for me. Maybe it can help you too.

This will set the default printer's orientation to landscape each time a report is opened.

Put this in an On Open Event as VBA code

Application.Printer.Orientation = acPRORLandscape

Zonie32,
I believe this won't work in earlier versions of Access. While it will work, in newer version, it is better to apply the service packs and prevent the bug from byting.

Hi,
the application object in my version of Access (2000) does not have a Printer property, but thanks anyway, I will file the information away for future use.

I will go with the upgrading of the service pack.
Thanks to you both for your replies.
