Report only shows 3 records...

Hey guys.

I'm having trouble with a report. It's a report with a query as a control source and when I open the report, the 1st 3 records out of 150 show up, but after the 1st 3, every field gives me a #Error.

The strange thing is, this report has been working for years, and all of the sudden it's doing this.

Was wondering if any of you have seen this before or have any advice on how to fix it. Thanks for the help.

This seems to point to some type of corruption. Are the text boxes calculated or bound directly to fields in the report's record source? Do you see #Error when viewing the datasheet of the report's record source?

You may need to Repair and Compact. If that doesn't fix the issue, rename the report and import a previous report from a backup.

Thanks for the info dhookom.

I did do a repair and that did not fix the issue, it did however bring the database down from 313MB to 37, but that is typical with this database.

As far as restoring from a backup, I used Shadow Copy to pull a previous version and it's doing the same thing.

Is your next guess to build a new report?

No, the query, which is the control source of the report, runs fine.

Do we need to ask most questions more than once :-(

Sorry, my bad.

They are directly bound to the fields of the record source.

I expect you need to rebuild the report. What happens if you create a new, simple report with the same record source?
