If I create a web page to access a client's data does the rpt file also have to be on the client's machine or can it be on my web page. Since I'm telling where the data can be found it seems like the rpt could reside on my web page and still recognize the data.

dmccallum: The rpt file should reside on the server. That way when your client requests the report to be executed only the resultant view of the report will be transmitted David C. Monks
