Hi everyone,

I have a report which is used to input data. The form shows/captures one record at a time. It consists of a main form and two subforms.

On completing the data entry process a command button is activated to bring up a preview of the data for printing.

Sometimes it won't show any data on the preview, although there is data displayed on the form.

I can't work out why?

Any ideas.

Thanks in advance.

It would appear that the report prints when data is present in the 2 subform. No data results in a blank report being printed.

It looks like you are joining at least two tables on this report. You may want to check the query your report is based on. If that query is using an inner join, you will only get results that have records in both your parent and related child table.

Changing the report's underlying query to an outer join might fix it...that will show all records in the parent table, and when a related record in the child table exists, it will show that too.
