Does a report made in version XI, can be used by a customer having version 10? If not, do I have to buy version 10. I updated from my Net Studio, and it seems that I skip a fewsions of Crystal.

Yes, Crystal XI reports can run in Crystal 10 and even Crystal 9. New features, such as Dynamic parameters, degrade gracefully (e.g., dynamic parameters become static parameters).

Visual CUT & DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

The official support statement that we validate our products with is 6 versions of backwards compatibility and 2 versions of forwards compatibility.

This means that CR XI will open the previous 6 versions of rpt files, and that CR XI will generate rpt files that will execute sucessfully (with new feature degradation) on v10 and v9 engines.

Thanks, Blair
