Report instance with saved data cannot be filtered in InfoView

Hello,
I'm using CR2008 and Oracle database. I have a monthly recurring report in InfoView (Business Objects)with parameters setup to be used to filter saved data of the report. The problem is that when trying to filter the previous instance (month) of the report, it's blank. But if the report is today's report, I am able to use those parameters to filter the data accordingly in InfoView without re-running the report. So today's report, I can change the parameters to see the data based on the parameter values, but for older instances of the report, the data is available when only viewing the report, but disappears once I change the parameter value and hit apply. Any ideas?

I know nothing about InfoView, but my guess is that the selection formula has something related to today's date. It could be CurrentDate or LastFullMonth or 20+ other functions. My guess is that once you wait a month and try to have CR reprocess the selection formula, the function is reapplied using today's date, and those records no longer qualify. If you post the selection formula I can probably show you how to rewrite it so that previous months won't use that date sensitive rule.
