report in ASCII how? 1

Hi all,

I want to produce 9i report listing in ASCII but whatever I try no success. I tried both with builder and command line. What is the exact syntax to produce report as text with only one header and the rest being data?
Also, how can I send this report listing to mail destination as textual file?

Creating report with the Wizard, select Character Mode as standard template. To send by email, look into Distribute feature of the report builder.
